Dr Haghighi combines old fashioned care & service with modern/latest technologies. Was referred to Dr H by my family GP of over 40 years. He only refers to the best Specialists. This was 15 years ago. My GP had me on Flomaxtra so I could pee, as I didn’t want to experience side effects with other procedures. I also had kidney stones. Dr H confirmed kidney stones & BPH, stating my prostate was very large & discussed in detail options. I wanted to preserve my sex life & as such Dr recommended a new procedure called Urolift, stating at this early stage I could expect at least 5 years benefit. I went ahead with this procedure & I was very happy with results (no more tablets & peeing normally). Following a flow rate test Dr H ( being a perfectionist) wanted a better outcome & looked into matters further… result was a bladder head resection, which he did at no cost to me. Result was unbelievable I was peeing like a teenager again & as he promised no sexual misfunction.
I was approx 48 at the time. I’m now 63, with everything still working. Dr H takes the time to fully explain matters, both good & bad. He’s straight to the point, which I appreciate. Unfortunately I suffer from kidney stones. On a separate occasion I was rushed to Liverpool Hospital with severe pain. I was diagnosed with kidney stones with urgent surgery required. I was placed in a kidney ward with many others in the same situation & advised surgery wait could be 1 week away/up to 2 weeks. Although I was on strong pain meds I was still in pain. However at about 2:00am Dr H walked past my bed & recognised me ( he was at the hospital for one of his other patients). Although it was 2:00am he took the time to talk to me, looked at my notes & arranged for me to be operated on the next day at another hospital. Over the years I’ve seen various doctors/specialists, I would rate Dr H up with the best of them. He goes over & beyond in patient care & displays genuine empathy. He is also exceptionally talented in his chosen field of Urology, always striving for & obtaining the best outcomes. I would highly recommend Dr Haghighi to everyone requiring Urological expertise.
