2 reviews about Dr Imran Badshah
Very knowledgeable doctor, kind, pleasant and with impeccable manners, so rare in today’s society. A pleasure to get to know him.
I recently saw Dr Badshah at Hollywood hospital as an in-patient. His consult would have lasted no longer than 4 minutes, during which time he spoke ABOUT me to his medical colleagues and barely spoke a word to me. I heard him telling one of the medical team that he would be prescribing me a particular blood pressure medication but there was no explanation given to me about this and when I asked about possible side effects his actual words were “they are not as bad as the other medication you have been put on.” He then walked out of the room. This left me with the only option of “Googling” the side effects myself and additionally being very anxious regarding the other medication I had been prescribed.
The pharmacist came around later and had to alter the medication dose time as Dr Badshah had prescribed the evening dose at a time which is associated with a high risk of Supine Hypertension.
In summary there was:
– a lack of time afforded to my consultant
– significantly poor patient communication
– lack of empathy
– unethical conduct by failing to provide basic information to patient about a prescribed medication, when requested by a patient
I look forward to your response as given the above circumstances I feel it warrants one.
